Courant on Cappiello

The Courant (By DANIELA ALTIMARI) has a lengthy and worthwhile piece on the state Senator, Dave Cappiello, who took on the challenge of representing the GOP in the race for the CT-5:

He works the line of patrons at Canton's Lobsterfest with the hustle and good cheer of a waiter at one of those family-style chain restaurants.

"My name is David Cappiello and I'm running for Congress," he says, thrusting out his hand.

It may seem to be a difficult task to challenge Congressman Murphy, but the CT-5 hasn't been represented by anyone for more than six years... for as long as I can remember:

2006-present - Chris Murphy
2002-2006 - Nancy Johnson
1996-2002 - Jim Maloney
1990-1996 - Gary Franks
1984-1990 - John Rowland

With the exception of Nancy Johnson and redistricting... historically, the CT-5 has been a real swing district for the past few decades.

And I just stopped by CTLP and found his newest (and first??) ad:

Tim White
