A Conservative for Obama
A friend of mine who is supporting Obama asked me to front-page this article entitled:

THE MORE I LISTEN TO AND READ ABOUT “the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate,” the more I like him. Barack Obama strikes a chord with me like no political figure since Ronald Reagan. To explain why, I need to explain why I am a conservative and what it means to me.
In 1964, at the age of 16, I organized the Dallas County Youth for Goldwater. My senior thesis at the University of Texas was on the conservative intellectual revival in America. Twenty years later, I was invited by William F. Buckley Jr. to join the board of National Review. I later became its publisher.
It's an interesting read... though I haven't read Obama's book. So I have no opinion on this really.
Personally though, I don't feel as though I have yet heard an adequate answer from either candidate about the bailout. Nor do I expect one. But I am intending to watch the final two debates to listen for answers* on our unfunded long term liabilities:

Tim - your friend just fell off the turnip truck and is an embarrassment to conservatives. McCain may be hard for some traditionalists to embrace, but at least he's not a socialist. Why shouldn't Russia love Obama? Logon to the CPA website and read why most of the communist bloggers favor him over their socialist candidate. Wick should remember that no matter how romantic his rhetoric, Obama will be sure to fill the exec power positions from his liberal support system, eradicating any remnants of our conservative ideals.
True... the 3,000 political appointments that are currently filled by the POTUS have a huge impact on policy. And obviously, those appointments go far beyond the relatively few SCOTUS appointments that any POTUS ever makes.
