Gov. Rell's Dec. 31 deadline for "shovel-ready" projects

I was given a copy of this letter signed by Governor Rell. She's requesting all "shovel-ready" projects be forwarded to her by December 31:Tim White

In a couple of years when we are still mired in recession and a trillion dollars deeper in hock to the Chinese despite dozens of bridges to nowhere, the term "shovel ready" will have an entirely different meaning

Rell's letter says that projects that already have money appropriated but that do not have a shovel in the ground within 180 days will have the funds revoked.

Wish she'd take back the $525,000 turf funds and put it to better use!

Don't worry my friends, everything will be just fine starting January 20, 2009. BHO, is going to sign the one trillion dollar stimulus bill into law.

Now, with a hundred million tax payers in the USA that means each one of us will be receiving a $10,000.00 O'bama check as quickly as the postal service can deliver it.

The first thing that I will do with this money will be to put it towards as a down payment on my Cheshire property taxes.

This will truly energize the economy throughout the town of Cheshire. Thank you to the rich porkers on the Town Council and Town Management.

Sleepless in my Cheshire home...

Oink, Oink, Oink, Oink ..........

all the way home.

This is just another government spending program that will p..s the money away instead of coming up with well thought out ways to spend the money on projects that will improve the competitivenessof the country.

And no, we don't need higher teachers salaries.
