Town Manager's Goals & Objectives 08/09

I'm wondering what is meant by "ongoing dissemination of information through all mediums."

Tim, your continued attacks are tired. More importantly what have YOU done Tim. What have you personally accomplished that has moved the town forward. Yes, you are going to say "I have pushed for transparent government and accountability". While noble goals, they really cant be quantified objectively, or measured. Your perception of when your goal is achieved would probably differ greatly from someone else. The TM is a leader, which you should be striving to be as a Town Leader. You apparently lack the apperceptive base that the TM has. Your constant public bashing of the TM actually has a negative impact on perfomance and perception. (NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT- it has been shown to be a detractor in just about every leadership book written)
How about getting past the petty stone throwing and actually working toward a solution.

Chill out 11:06. Tim has presented the TM's goals and objectives. He is not being negative - he is being informative. And if he has questions about dissemination of information then that's ok too. He can ask those questions.

I expect councilors to ask questions. That's why I vote for them. We don't need anymore "yes men"...we already have 5 of them on the council.

I agree with you, so why don't you?
Tim does ask the tough questions that none of the others do. He is also the only TC member who informs the town, through this blog,of what is happening.
Those detracors, like yourself, are nothing more than "yes" people who are owned by a select few influential residents in this town.
So, get over your own bashing of Tim, he hs many more followers than you think.
As for the TM, he needs to ask the difficult questi. He didn't in regards to the north end development and this could cost the town in the long run. If all the TC members just tell the TM he is doing a could job and give him a bump up, what is that telling us? Everyone is open to constructive criticism and that is all Tim has done.
When this town is paying a person that kind of money, we expect him to make our community a nice and affordable place to live. I am not so sure this TM has done that.
I wonder if Tim was able to see who 11:06 was by his web site controls. This person sounds like a person of interest.

What have you personally accomplished that has moved the town forward.

As a member of the minority, since the most recent election I have gotten support for:

1) addressing The Bubble

2) review of the gas use policy

3) review of the take home vehicle policy

4) forums to help people understand these so-called "energy issues."

potholes, sidewalks, etc....

And as you mention, I certainly try to increase transparency.

That's a few things that come to mind.

But if your idea of "working toward a solution" is to avoid asking questions and simply voting yes on everything... well, then we have a difference of opinion.

9:23 I have a sense (same person who used to make nonsense claims about me living in another town)... a pretty good sense. But first of all, I cannot know with absolute certainty (though the FBI probably could)... and second of all... I'm not particularly concerned.

Most elected officials are afraid to gore an ox... and you can see why. I just don't take any of it personally.
