School-related non-profits helping out

From the NHRs Luther Turmelle:

A fundraising effort to develop science classrooms in the town’s elementary schools continues to attract donors.

The Cheshire Newcomers and Neighbors Club has donated $10,000 to Cheshire Education Foundation’s effort to create the science classrooms, said Kathy Carlucci, president-elect of the community group. Money for the donation came from this year’s “Taste of Cheshire,” held April 2 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, which attracted more than 200 people.

An upcoming event related to another school / non-profit is a May 12 festival organized by Cheshire World Languages.
