Tagliaferi arrested by Woodbridge PD

According to the NHR (by James Tinley), Woodbridge Police say they have caught a man suspected of using makeshift ladders to gain entry to the second-story windows of houses in Woodbridge and surrounding communities.

Woodbridge police on Saturday arrested Robert Tagliaferi, 45, of 67 Patton Drive, Cheshire, in connection with a November burglary....

As far as I'm concerned, any Cheshire resident who has committed home invasion in the past year and is found guilty should be happy to get even one strike.

And the guy is out on bail.
Unbelievable!

We need to picket his house and put his mug shot and a picture of his car on fliers.

It's time for some old style colonial "shunning"

My house was hit similarly. I have a feeling it was him......

He was arrested in Hamden with Filipp Podpay, 25 as well.

Whether it's "massage parlors" or someone arrested for burglary / home invasion... forget the old school tactics, instead:

1) stand on a nearby sidewalk

2) record on videcamera

3) upload to youtube

4) write LTTEs, telling everyone to watch your new youtube video.

New school tactics deserve a chance.

This person is some sort of priest at the church across the street from Norton school. He has been arrested in several towns as of late and is highly suspected in many break-ins in Cheshire. The Cheshire PD has not arrested him...why? He is a convicted felon from previous legal battles. He needs to be struck out.

what will u tube do for us?
a priest burglar??
convicted of what?
did he do time?
we should all call the Cheshire PD....

Cheshire PD arrested him last week charging him in 4 separate burglaries.
He made bond.

He pays foe the bonds from all the money he stole from the houses he broke into. Seems fair?

haven't you learned, the cheshire police department is useless.

Ides of March...characterizing your local police department as useless is reckless and entirely innaccurate. Reckless because you typed the comment before really thinking about what you were writing and innacurate because you cannot substantiate your claim.

Our town is well served by the department and its officers. With some 47 police your town of nearly 30K has done pretty well despite the 5 murders that beset the community in 2007. Such realities are not a reflection on the department but a reflection of the ugliness pervading our society...urban and suburban.

No person and no organization is perfect, but I think the wo/men who make up the CPD do a good job.

8:59 is that a motor vehicle violation? I'm not sure I'm reading it correctly.

It appears to be a misdeamanor fraud charge

Oh... it says "motor vehicle" at the top. And I can't figure out the rest of it.

Zillow.com reports the value of this guy's house as $297,500

He bought it in 2003 for $297K. Wonder if he used some subprime "liar loan" to buy it?

This man, Robert Tagliaferi, is NOT either a priest or a deacon at St. Thomas Becket or at any other Catholic church. His name appears nowhere in the Directory of Deacons of the Archdiocese of Hartford.

He may have been involved with some lay ministry, like helping distribute Communion. I don't know. But he is NOT a priest or deacon of the Catholic church!

Tagliaferi is the same man who broke into the home of the state rep. in Hamden in January when the rep's wife walked in on him. I pointed out in my previous post, below, that the rep had just voted against a 3-Strikes law.

So Tagliaferi is STILL breaking into homes and commiting felonies. And of course, he's repeatedly released on bail by the liberal judges and the liberal legislators who make the liberal laws.

The only message he gets is, "Go out and do it again!" Well folks, you get what you vote for.

My Jan. '08 post:

How ironic. Rep. Brendan Sharkey is another one of those liberals who voted against 3-Strikes and in favor of abolishing the death penalty last week.

Fortunately his wife wasn't hurt when she walked into this burglary. But if she had been hurt, I wonder if the Rep. wouldn't have had second thoughts about his votes.

What's the problem they have with keeping 3, 5, 10, 20-time convicted felons off the streets?!

That's not what they teach in law school these days...we need to get progressive in our way of thinking

The folks at Yale Law never met a felon whom they thought shouldn;t be released from jail

RE: “we need to get progressive in our way of thinking. The folks at Yale Law never met a felon whom they thought shouldn’t be released from jail.”

That’s another thing. The liberals have been calling themselves “progressives” for 20 years, even since the L-word became widely held in distain.

But call themselves what they will, liberals still consider themselves more enlightened and “compassionate” than the rest of us (you know, we who “cling to religion” and the 2nd amendment).

Of course felons shouldn’t be held in jail; they’re not responsible for their crimes. It’s the fault of society, of poverty, racism, or poor parenting. Liberals really believe this. If someone is a career criminal with 5, 10, 20 convictions, it’s because the state didn’t provide enough social programs or counseling.

To liberals, individuals are never responsible for their crimes, unless the crime is a politically-incorrect crime (such as a hate or environmental crime). And so the liberal judges and their liberal enablers just keep unleashing these predatory thugs onto the streets.

PS: It will be fun watching Elizabeth Esty trying to dance around her liberal stances on issues. Last July’s murders happened in her district. It will be like watching Barrack Obama backpeddle his associations with Rev. Wright and other kooky liberal causes.

BTW, Elizabeth Esty is a graduate of Yale Law school, and comes with all the baggage of the "progressive," beautiful people.

With Donovan and Merrill running the state house next year that's all we need to send another socialist intellectual to Hartford
