I saw Mr Brittingham's comments on TV last night. My hat goes off to the people who voted him onto the board. We need more Mr Brittinghams on all of our boards. I felt his passion and agree with him 100%...I was really fired up to hear the super start complaining that there isnt enough funding to address the issue(resource staff member position) How important are our kids..not as important as a smart board, turf consultant, key boarding instructor, asst coach...you can name anything in the budget....cut some of the fluff and attack the issue like it should be. If you need a new staff position to do it...find the funds, after all, the kids health and well being should be the number 1 concern

The Police are there, but when they try to act they are interfered by the parents in many cases. The Police are frustrated by the lack of support from the parents and the School Administration. The parents today are afraid of telling their kids no, they may be viewed as not their best friends. The School Administration chooses to turn a blind eye because it may affect the standing and reputation of the Cheshire School system. Well let me tell you something; the Cheshire School system is a joke, the demand for accountability and responsibility is poor at best. The school system refuses to adhere to their own "C" rule unless the student is a labeled as a true non- critical member of the team. Athletics is still a priority over academics.

The C rule does not exist.

It seems like things have not changed since my children attended CHS. The "stars " get away with a lot. When will someone realize that this doesn't help the children in the real world? Athletics is a two edge sword. The BOE is soft on the administrators and it ultimately hurts the school system. One member of the BOE is asking tough questions and is concerned about the situation what are the others doing? Going along for the ride.
