More residents on budget

Here's just a couple more residents who spoke at the Council's public hearing on the budget last Thursday:

Mr.Massey (BOE member) and a music teacher were the only people to speak in favor of the proposed budget. If so many people want this budget where are they and if the Dem council members speak to them why don't they show up and have them speak? I challenge the D'S to come up with some names or letters to support their budget or else I find it hard to believe them.

Don't be surprised if Florio recruits some teachers or parents to show up at the April 3rd meeting. It wouldn't be the first time.

If he does that nobody will believe them. Where have they been the last three years? Money is tight for everyone. It's hard to cry "wolf" when we have a decreasing student body.

The problem is, If the residents of Cheshire are concerned about how their money is being spent, where were they on election day?

It's bad we(Cheshire) have one of the lowest percentage of voters that actually vote for our local elections. This is where the decisions made by local elected officials directly effect your taxes, schools, etc. If you don't vote you should only blame yourself.
