Blue Back Q & A
West Hartford's new life style center, Blue Back, is moving forward. Here is an interview with one of the developers. I didn't read the whole Q&A, but found this one piece of interest:
Q. How have Blue Back Square condominium sales been?
A. There are 62 units, and we've already sold 44. I just bought one.The condos run from the mid-$300,000s up into the $900,000s. Several people have actually bought two units and combined them, so those are significantly more expensive.

Another interesting comment is that the developer was required to put $250,000 in escrow to help pay for unanticipated problems (e.g. traffic) after Blue Black opened. Is there a silimar provision for the North End, and if not, could one be added?

No one on council would ask, it is a planning and zoning issue it is their question to ask.
Is the Cheshire Republican Party becoming CAVE men?
Is seems as if many GOP officials in Cheshire can be defined as CAVE men – Citizens Against Virtually Everything.
I think you might have that wrong. Perhaps the Cheshire democratic party could best be described as CAVE men

Schrumm and his Grossly Overated Party wasted $20,000 on The White Elephant consultnt. But $38,000 needed to be slashed from the school budget. Can't wait to here the consultant tell us to spend $5,000,000 for a building. Sorry. There are no fiscal conservatives on the Town Council. NONE.

I love the idea of a Blue Back square in our town/
Can't we all work together so we can have a great town.
CAVE this is a good one/ Maybe the Republican party will wake up and realize that some day they are being led by men who are so angry and bitter that it is killing them. Then they might see that moderate candidates are winners in town elections not right wing nut jobs that are anti everything. We can't win that way. My opinion-the council will be 6-3 or 7-2 by the end of the year. Oh, Democrat majority.
The Dems are done. They waste money on schools, they want turf, they want a shopping center and they want give aways to the seniors, the council will be 6-3 rep. and things will be back to normal in Cheshire. Can't wait for Nov.
Hall and his group will all lose in the fall. We need more like Tom R. he is the future of this town.
