Sewer help

Cheshire continues trying to renegotiate the sewer contract with the prison (WRA, by Lauresha Xhihani).

Under a 1990 contract between the town and the state, the maximum amount of sewage the three state correctional facilities in Cheshire are supposed to be sending to the town's treatment plant is 350,000 gallons per day. Instead, the town has been treating an average of 483,000 gallons per day in recent years, said Town Manager Michael Milone.
By most accounts, Rep. Mary Fritz is leading the charge.
Mary Fritz, D-Wallingford, is trying, for a second year, to get the town some money to deal with the treatment plant. She has submitted a bill that asks the state to reimburse the town $5 for each gallon of sewage treated over the 1990 agreement between the two.
However, I couldn't find the bill on her webpage, here. If you click it, maybe you can find it... she's just got so many bills that she's introduced.

I remember Ms. Esty saying that this was a such crisis in 2005 - poor planning. How could our council let this happen? The sky is about to fall. Now all you hear is SILENCE......

Why was this issue not dealt with by the last Republican council? Lack of leadership? Why didn't Schrumm and Orisni do something? Because they view this as a way to stop development. THIS WAS A FAILURE OF THE LAST COUNCIL. JUST LIKE THE POOL WAS. These guys couldn't plan lunch.
