Recalling local elected officials

The legislature's Government Administration and Elections Committee sent an interesting bill to the full House. 03741HB06242GAE is an act that would:

"An elected official of a municipality may be recalled by the electors of the municipality."

If we revise the Charter, I wonder if this would be included?

This idea is a good one. Should not be limited to elected officials only. The people whould be allowed to overide the BOE decision to continue to hire the Supt of Schools. The Supt only has to please 4 people in Twon to keep his job. With the current BOE members that is not to difficult, Two are retired teachers, one has an education background, one teaches at a college, that adds up to four votes. I would like to see the people have the ability to have the Supt removed based on inability to do the job. Test scores may be part of the job accountability, but so fiscal management and having a personality. That means the ability to interact with members of the public who ask him questions on issues he may disagree with and do in in a manner that is not arrogant, mean, condescending and rude.
