The big time!
Our little blog community has officially hit the big time. We even got mentioned in today's WRA in an article about tomorrow's P&Z meeting on the northend. (by Lauresha Xhihani)
I think it's safe to say at this point that not only are the developers watching us, the press (and probably Council members) are watching too. I think that's fantastic because it enables everyone a greater chance to be heard and to have an impact. The Planning and Zoning Commission's ruling will be one of the most important decisions involving the town's north end in 20 years. Town Councilman Tim White, whose blog timwhitelistens.blogspot.com has gained popularity with posts from both sides of the issue, said he is pleased to give people a venue. In the year he has had the blog, no other issue has created more feedback, he said.
And again, for anyone who is interested... if you'd like to share something, I'd love to get some guest posters for the front page. Both my dad and Alan Bisbort have taken me up on that request. I hope others will too.

Tim, I am impressed!
Your blog made it to a major Connecticut newspaper.
I am sure now that many more Cheshire residents will start to log on to your blog to post comments and view the rather interesting opinions here.
By the way, do you plan to start a topic on Chris Murphy? Rather impressive that a Cheshire resident so young is in Washington. I don’t mean to down play the importance of town politics and town politicians, but we now have a thirty-four year old representing us in Washington.
Congratulations Tim. But can you delete some of the comments?
Why is everyone so negative about David Schrumm when, as 6:59 said, we can be positive about Chris Murphy?
Forget Schrumm. Go Murphy! Chris is so young and energetic, he may someday be President. On the other hand, Schrumm is Schrumm. He's going nowhere.
I guess many people don't pay attention....
Chris Murphy moved out of the First District (where he had NO chance of unseating Larsen the incumbent Dem in a primary) into the Fifth District so he could run against Johnson. After the Civil War they called it Carpetbagging....but they probably don't teach such facts anymore in school.
Murphy is a self-promoting, left-wing twit who just settled in Cheshire for convenience....nothing more.
To have him proclaimed as a "young Cheshire resident" is laughable but it shows you how far young politicians will go to move up the ladder.....the truth be damned.
