The Day on Hartford's December 15 special session

The Day editorializes on Christmas presents for state legislators when they meet on December 15 for a special session:

Many members of the General Assembly deserve lumps of coal in their holiday stockings, nothing more...

Rather than close the budget gap left over from last year, they agreed to borrow nearly $1 billion, precluding more borrowing now...

The budget approved by the General Assembly and signed by the governor this past summer was a farce. Now it's time to deal with reality.

It wasn't signed by the Governor - she was held hostage by the super majority.
