From the MRJ:

The Cheshire Rams finished the regular season with a record of 9-1 with a 24-11 win over Southington in the Apple Classic Thursday morning.

Ecke's comment after the game to Talbot from Cox Cable was that he was happy with the field conditions because it slowed the running game down. Southington has some lightening fast players.

I guess it is a good thing that we don't have that turf field because the outcome of this game could have been with Southington winning today.

How did they have a winning season without turf?

Anyone know what happened to the $10,000 that some anonymous donor gave to be used for the "turf study?" Milone & McBroom didn't charge for their services, so I would guess the money is sitting somewhere. Maybe someone on the turf study committee could comment as I'm sure they read this blog. What are you planning on doing with the $10,000?
