08/09 Capital budget - emergency ops center
The idea is to use the old firehouse that is next to the new firehouse.
Also, we had the first capital budget meeting tonight. Discussion points were a general overview, finance and the library.

Why do we have to "construct" an emergency ops center? Can't those who would meet during an emergency just go to the police department where there's all the communication tools they should need.
I saw their communication stuff at the police HQ and it looked pretty good, if we do this is there some sense we will avoid having to refit the PD stuff?
Tim, this is the first thought that came to my mind....the PD is blocks away.
