Dan Esty on The Colbert Report!

On Monday, the Cheshire resident (Dan Esty) will appear on "The Colbert Report," likely to be harangued by the confrontational faux news anchor Stephen Colbert.

As head of Yale's Center for Environmental Law and Policy and the school's Center for Business and the Environment, Esty has focused on sustainability as the function of business and government. In his 2006 book, "Green to Gold," Esty and co-author Andrew S. Winston state that businesses can spend less and earn more by taking advantage of the "green wave." Esty's ideas are now trickling into the presidential debate as Esty advises the Barack Obama campaign with a group of 500 environmental experts. (MRJ, by George Moore)

Should be fun! Colbert's the best of the best. Though I'm not quite sure what they mean "faux news." Everyone knows that Colbert only does hard-hitting, investigative reporting.

Perhaps he should explain to his wife that the "green wave" doesn't mean artificial turf!

From all the "behind the scenes" reporting I heard... HRC really was opposed to NAFTA back in '93. But Bill still supported it. HRCs problem in the 2008 primary was that she never publicly opposed it in 1993... but seriously... I wouldn't want to see a spouse of an elected official start publicly opposing a spouse. And reporters shouldn't even ask spouses those questions, IMO.

Stop defending Lizzy Borden Esty---she is taking an axe to the taxpayers and letting her clueless allies ruin the environment by using hydrocarbon waste as a sports venue.

By the way Tim, Obama got nominated because America got sick of the Clintons. Are you suggesting the Estys are going to be Cheshire's version of the power couple from hell?

No.

Obama got nominated because America got sick of the Clintons.

My analogy was just one issue in a much bigger primary.

Power couple from hell? Why can't we celebrate the brilliant among us? You don't have to agree with everything they say or do but you have to give credit where credit is due!

Point out the "brilliant" among us and I will celebrate them.
EE is nothing more than a pompous, arrogant wannabe.
She can't think on her own so she is just another one of the 5 rubber stampers on the TC.

I don't think Dan Estey is qualified to be an environmental expert. He let his wife, a rubber stamper, support the local special interests when she supported the paving of the Northend. Thanks Dan and Elizabeth for your support to pave over 400 acres of the interchange zone and turn Cheshire into just another retail sprawl.

Then she supports artificial turf and doesn't care about preserving Cheshire's character. Her record speaks for itself, and it' not a good record. No concern for the environment or the taxpayers. It's all about herself.

I don't think she'll stay in Cheshire very long and that would really help us.

If you were expecting jewels of wisdom from Dan on the Colbert Report, it just didn't happen. Same old stuff that you constantly hear on the radio. Wind, sun, blah, blah, blah..................
