McCain on MSM bias

I enjoyed McCain's new ad... nothing to do with Obama... just a redux of the MainStreamMedia's take on Obama in their own wordsTim White

You can only be saved by accepting Barack Obama as your personal Lord and Savior! (you're getting sleepy...) He's for "change" (you're getting sleepier...) He's the Second Coming (now you're mindlessly hooked...)

McCain isn't much better.
Bob Barr has much more conservative views, more to my liking. I don't agree with every position he takes but certainly a lot more than McCain.

If you anticipate wasting your vote on Bob Barr, I've got two words for you : Federal Judges, including the Supreme Court.

If you think there's no difference between whom McCain and Obama will appoint, you're fooling yourself.

The top post addresses the fact that Obama is nothing more than a packaged, charismatic pop star who has swept the masses with style and no substance.

Obama's plan is to elect lie rock Democrats to Congress like Chris Murphy who mouth the right words but do nothing, and then appoint hard left judges to impose radical policies on guns, gays, global warming and immigration on an unwilling nation.

Think the likes of Elizabeth Esty wearing black robes

Shockingly, Bush's second term has been such a disaster that the public thinks a Chicago shakedown artist lawyer can fix the economy

Obama gave favors to sleazy real estate developers in exchange for paybacks.

Speaking of Obama being a "Chicago shakedown artist", the (liberal, pro-Obama) Boston Globe published this report on June 27:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/

“As a state senator, (Obama) coauthored an Illinois law creating ... tax credits for developers. As a US senator, he pressed for increased federal subsidies. And as a presidential candidate, he has promised to ... give developers an estimated $500 million a year.

“A Globe review found that thousands of apartments across Chicago built with local, state, and federal subsidies - including several hundred in Obama's former district - deteriorated so completely that they were no longer habitable.

“Grove Parc and several other prominent failures were developed and managed by Obama's close friends and political supporters who profited from the subsidies, even as many of Obama's constituents suffered. Tenants lost their homes; surrounding neighborhoods were blighted.

“Campaign finance records show that six prominent developers - including Jarrett, Davis, and Rezko - collectively contributed more than $175,000 to Obama's campaigns over the last decade and raised hundreds of thousands more from other donors. Rezko alone raised (another) $200,000, by Obama's own accounting.

“One of those contributors, Cecil Butler, controlled Lawndale Restoration, the largest subsidized complex in Chicago, which was seized by the government in 2006 after city inspectors found more than 1,800 code violations.

“Butler and Davis did not respond to messages. Rezko is in prison; his lawyer did not respond to inquiries.”

This gives a whole new meaning to Obama’s slogan, ”Yes we can!”

Obama's dealings with Tony Rezko - who was convicted of 16 corruption counts including fraud, money laundering, and taking kickbacks - are just the tip of the iceberg. This story reveals the fuller pattern of Obama's shady dealings.

We don't want to hear that Obama took money for favors. That's so negative. Obama is for change, change, change. We love Obama!

Press 1 for McCain in English;
Press 2 por Obama en Espanol.

Here is another story that was largely buried by Obama’s adoring friends in the media.

Only July 9, Obama said,
"Instead of worrying about immigrants learning English -- they'll learn English -- you should make sure your child can speak Spanish, how your child can become bilingual."

Obama wasn’t talking about Americans learning a second language for enrichment. He emphasized Americans learning Spanish to accommodate the hordes of illegal aliens who would flood over open borders under his presidency. In fact, most Spanish immigrants never learn English, so we need to learn Spanish.

John McCain and the Keating 5?
McCain having no ideas except drill for oil?
McCain dating his second wife while married to his first?
McCain complete flipflop on taxes?

RE: McCain and the Keating 5:

The Senate's 1991 investigation concluded that McCain's actions “were not improper, nor attended with gross negligence, and did not reach the level of requiring action against him....”Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate.”

John McCain has NEVER been implicated in the kind of corruption that is Obama’s trade in Chicago.

"McCain dating his second wife while married to his first?"

Why do Democrat bother with this stupidity after nominating and electing Bill Clinton twice?

Hell, if Eliot Spitzer could win the war on terror and fix the fiscal and enrgy problems I'd vote for him and let him lend out Air Force One to the Emperor's Club

Don't forget that the power of laws and their interpretations are derived from the respect and obedience the people give to them.

It's our duty as good citizens not to respect or obey unconstitutional or unjust laws. We are a country founded on natural rights defended by law. That's an important distinction.

If an Obama (or McCain) judge makes your guns illegal or otherwise attempts to revoke your natural rights with the power of law it becomes your responsibility to refuse to acknowledge that decision because law has no power to remove a natural right.

John McCain and the Keating 5?

I am curious to read about this some more, but am confident that if there was anything... the opposition would have made great hay back in the early 90s.

McCain having no ideas except drill for oil?

He wants nuclear. And if we get the efficiencies in technology with plug-in cars... then this could simultaneously be HUGE.

McCain dating his second wife while married to his first?

If I recall correctly, it was on the heels of his return from 5+ yrs in the Hanoi Hilton. So while I dislike this... I don't question it. I couldn't possibly imagine that experience.

McCain complete flipflop on taxes?

Like Obama on FISA... my understanding is that they're both flip-floppers. Personally though, I have a much bigger problem with the FISA because I don't have a philosophical problem with the existence of taxes (though I want lower taxes). FISA though was, IMO, a Constitutional question that Obama could have and should have gotten correct.

"McCain dating his second wife while married to his first?"

His first marriage was broken by his being a POW for 5 years. By all accounts, it was a friendly divorce and they are on good terms.

The fact that a Dem mentions McCain's first marriage as a defense of Obama's corruption in Chicago (with TAXPAYER DOLLARS) is just another example of liberal HYPOCRICY.

When Monica was doing her thing under the Lincoln desk, the liberals called it Clinton’s "personal business". (Never mind that he also demeaned the Oval Office itself and committed perjury). Situational ethics indeed.

Oh, and now John Edwards is out as Obama's VP. Apparently he got caught with his mistress and their love child ... while his own wife is being treated for cancer.
