Cheshire company expanding in Newington

From the WRAs Marc Silvestrini:

ETTER Engineering Co. Inc. of Cheshire will be relocating its manufacturing facility and offices to its new headquarters in Newington.

The company, which was established in Hamden in 1940 and moved to Cheshire in 1990, manufactures, services and distributes parts, equipment and systems for the natural gas, combustion, process heating and industrial heating industries.

I just hope that every option within reason was offered to ETTER Engineering Co. Inc. in order to sway them to stay here in Cheshire. I'm sure the new tax structure had a play in this decision to relocate.

Raising taxes during a recession is one of the best ways to drive businesses out of town or shut them down completely. I also hope that this does not turn into the start of a very bad trend.

Does anyone know of any other business in Cheshire that will be locating elsewhere since the '09-'10 tax structure was announced?

Like I said on the garbage issue, CHESHIRE IS THE WORST TOWN TO DO BUSINESS WITH!

No business, unless you are a Bozzuto, is allowed to expand AND stay in Cheshire.

Dont be surprised when more businesses, jobs, and possibly residents pack up for greener pastures.
