It's ironic that both of these men accomplished great sports history and Cheshire didn't have a hockey rink or a pool. It goes to show that anything is possible if you have a dream. Cheshire should be proud. Thank you both
It's also a bit ironic that the CHS football team won 6 straight championships back in the 1990's playing their season on a GRASS field. It goes to show you that you don't need a turf field to be successful. You just need talented, determined players who have a dream.
Speaking of sports, turf fields etc., if the State Bond Commission approves the $525,000 to go to Cheshire, wouldn't Ecke and Altieri have to recuse themselves from the vote on whether to accept the funds? Ecke's brother is a coach and Ecke himself walks the sidelines as if he's a coach. And one poster on your blog says Altieri is related to someone from the turf company. Clearly a conflict of interest.
