Next PZC mtg on proposed ND
Tuesday – January 22, 2008 – 7:30 p.m. – Town Hall – Council Chambers
And about the Jan 16 meeting... I just watched it on Channel 14. What confounds me is when I hear PZC members voicing concerns that appear legal in nature, but it's not the town attorney addressing the concerns... additionally, there had been a Council meeting scheduled for Jan 22, but it's been cancelled. So hopefully this PZC meeting will be televised.

There's also a BOE public budget review meeting Tuesday, Jan. 22nd at Highland School.
Why are they bothering to meet? They have already made up their minds, and with the help of the W/S lawyers, they have already written up the findings...

Is Ecke a CPA or a fraud?
Lucky we didn't pay for the $35,000 that was charged by Beta Group. If the traffic report was any indication of the rest of the reports we got exactly what it was worth $35,000. How could anybody expect a company to do a good review for that price?
It's obvious that the mall is close to being a done deal. Our elected officials are letting W/S just roll all over us. All we can do at this point is remember the names of those elected officials that supported the zone change and those that continue to cater to W/S and un-elect them next time. They no longer deserve our respect or support.
It seems the P&Z people have their fingers in the Pie.
The only hope we have is that Westfield will come out with guns-a-blazen. After attending all of the P&Z meetings they have so much ammunition it's incredible. Nothing was done correctly or probably even legally (since we never had a lawyer present) with regards to these meetings. GO WESTFIELD! When it comes to fingers in the pie. After the way this has been railroaded through we can only imagine how many of our town officials and good citizens have their fingers in this pie.

This is unbelieveable, not only does W/S write their zone change request, but they write the commission's reasons for approving it and the actual approval. And, this is done before the commission even meets to deliberate on the various points.
The document is written like a sales brochure. Everything is wonderful, there are no drawbacks. It continues presenting the same deceptive, misleading and outright false information that the developer has presented from the very beginning.
The commission chairman, Sean Strollo, should be ashamed of himself to have allowed such a biased misleading document to have been received by the commission.
Thank goodness someone had the consience to leak this document.
It's time for Elizabeth Esty and Matt hall to investigate something of real importance. How can we trust our town government when developers have such influence?
