State Sen. Tom Gaffey's bills in 2009 (4/4)

And here's the fourth installment of state Sen. Tom Gaffey's bills that he introduced this year:

SB00326 AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF STATE-OWNED VEHICLES FOR COMMUTING PURPOSES.
SB00334 AN ACT REQUIRING ALL UNITED STATES AND CONNECTICUT FLAGS PURCHASED BY THE STATE BE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES.
SB00431 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF EZ PASS TOLLS ON STATE HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES.
SB00443 AN ACT TO REPEAL THE REQUIRED ETHANOL ADDITIVE TO GASOLINE SOLD IN CONNECTICUT.

I like SB000431
They gave us an income tax when they took away the tolls, now they want to bring them back.
Nice time to do it.

What are people that do not use credit cards suppose to do? What about people from out of state that do not have EZ Pass? Is it going to be required to to enter the state? You have to include pay lanes, with clerks, to have a toll system. Are you going to tax someone towing a trailer the same as someone without? If you have a pay lane, what are the thoughts of added conjestion like what caused the Milford accident? What about the added polution from idling cars and trucks? The area around a toll booth will have the highest amount of air pollution. And, since most bridges are used to span water, you can include added water pollution that will make it's way to the Sound.

SB00431 - Bad idea that should be rejected.

What about Gaffey's use of state credit cards to buy ethanol additives over lunch?
