A contrast in caucuses

US Senate Republicans

Larry Craig plead guilty to a misdemeanor and his caucus (Mitch McConnell) immediately referred the incident to the Senate's ethics committee.

CT Senate Republicans

Lou DeLuca plead guilty to a misdemeanor and his caucus sat silent for months... although at least Dave Cappiello spoke out.

As I've said before, comity reigns supreme under the gold dome.

I think he simply asked a friend to give his abusive son-in-law a warning.

A warning from a third party has much more cloat than that from the police.

That's just my thought. I'd do the same under the same conditions.

I would do anything to protect my family if someone was abusing any one of them. I support the Senator on this one. He was alredy stepped down from his leadership role and admitted that he was wrong.

Tim, go look for a problem elsewhere, like right here in Cheshire concerning what some people did to the Town Clerk!!!!

DeLuca went to the mob for help. He never went to the cops. He never pursued all avenues that he of all people should know as a Senator. And the only thing his grand-son-in law ever did was marry his grandaughter. There was no abuse but DeLuca's wife was all in a tizzy. The victim in the plea deal was his grandson-in-law. DeLuca is a bold faced liar. Like Craig he denies the facts he plead guilty too. Maybe the cops beat both of them with a rubber hose so they would confess!!!!!
