Smash'n'grabs in Cheshire

“It’s a little more aggressive than someone who goes around looking for unlocked cars or uses some kind of device to open a vehicle that is locked,” said Lt. Jay Markella, a spokesman for the Cheshire police.

Cheshire usually doesn’t see a lot of smash and grab thefts from cars, Markella said. But the weekend after Christmas, several occurred at various locations in the south end of town over a few hours.
