Council agenda 11/12

Also note that Tuesday is Veterans' Day and Town Hall will be closed. Therefore, the meeting has been moved and is scheduled for Wednesday.

And finally, Veterans' Day this year will mark the official unveiling of the updated memorial that has been made possible through the efforts of my dad (VFW Commander), Ernie Dipietro (American Legion Commander), Bob Ceccolini (P&R Director) and Michael Milone (Town Manager). I thank them all and request that you attend the event, this Tuesday at 11am.

Item 4 is the Consent Calendar with a long list of donations - Item 5 is Items Removed from the Consent Calendar - Does that mean people decided NOT to make their donation??

"Items removed from the Consent Calendar" is included because no discussion is permitted on the consent calendar. So if there are any questions, the item is removed and discussed under item 5.

There definitely are people who are scaling back on donations though. With reporting of tens of thousands of likely layoffs in CT in the next 6-9 months... I assume everyone is cutting back on discretionary spending... even if it is for charitable donations.

I agree, Tim, but someone better tell this to the fake turf committee because they're claiming the balance of the turf project will be paid for through donations.

Tim - When the dems push through that policy for naming town properties, could you at least get them to admit it's really just to help the turf heads raise money by putting awful looking advertising signs on the fence around the football field?
