Tagliaferi / Galante court date

As of 10pm, the state judicial website has not updated with today's (June 3) proceedings for Cheshire's most famous alleged burglar, Robert Tagliaferi, 45 of Patton Drive.

Coincidentally, James Galante of trash-hauling fame was supposed to be in court today to change his plea to "guilty." Here's a brief recap on what's on Galante's plate:

Galante, of New Fairfield, was indicted in 2006 along with 28 others on charges of participating in a scheme to drive up trash rates. He faces 93 counts, including racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, extortion, mail and wire fraud and witness tampering.

He is also charged with conspiring to commit arson and kidnapping by damaging a competitor’s truck and kidnapping the driver at gunpoint in 1992.

Authorities alleged that Galante paid a quarterly $30,000 mob tax to alleged Genovese crime family boss Matthew "Matty the Horse" Ianniello in exchange for mob muscle to stifle competition. Ianniello pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and tax evasion and was sentenced to two years in prison.

I wonder if Tagliaferi might have seen Galante in court? Not that Galante would want anything to do with Tagliaferi... but I wonder if Tagliaferi would like to think he has something to do with Galante?
