Stolen signs

I got my first confirmation of adults - not kids - stealing my signs. I had noticed several that had been vandalized. Frankly though, I was chalking it up to kids who should've known better, but did it anyway. Regardless, I understand that the police were notified.

I recall two years ago when a supporter of mine did something similar. Upon learning of it, I immediately spoke with the Cheshire DTC Chairman. I apologized and attempted to rectify the situation by personally replacing the "lit drop" that had been taken.

I've already spoken with my opponent and I'm confident that he has nothing to do with this. But I do hope the party immediately acts to rectify the situation.

I understand that the "runner" was in her 30s to 40s with blonde hair. The "getaway driver" was about the same age, a brunette and she was driving a dark gray Suburban size suv.

This is an embarrassment. Frankly, I'm shocked that two adult women would behave this way.

"You shall not steal." -- God.

And while agnostic liberal activists will sneer at how passé this is, I ask: what kind of examples are these adult women giving to their children? No amount of school spending can counter that damage.

Tim, did you notice they have a new polling place for District 3--the old VFW? Any idea why? Didn't see it publicized...seems a little sneaky, don't you think???

Tim, maybe you should send a letter to the Cheshire Herald and announce how "incredibly offended" you are by this. In fact, you can tell them how "shocked, disgusted, appalled, sickened, depressed, angry..." you are over the signs being stolen. ;-)

Paraphrasing LD:

"I want any of you who are theives to ask yourself, how would you feel if the insinuation was made that you were out stealing and vandalizing signs at night, and not tending to your obligations as a parent ?

"Ask yourself how you would feel if (fill-in-the-blank) had permitted and encouraged this type of behavior in his/her campaign."

Hey. maybe these are like the folks that think the Constitution gives them to right to post signs on telephone poles. You know, if it helps a liberal it must be legal.

hey 10:52 half the town of cheshire puts signs on the poles what are you blind but i am glad it bothers you that is our goal to annoy you and it worked.

The real issue here is not telephone poles. It's "adult" Democrat supporters stealing signs from PRIVATE PROPERTY. Shame.

This juvenile nonsense seems to come in waves.

We lost virtually every sign here to your north in Southington back in 1985, including the big plywood 4x8's

Found 100's and most of the big ones in a new foundation on the outskirts of town on a dead-end road.

"Kids" ??
Well they had to have a pickup truck so they weren't little kids that's for sure.

The press missed it completely but apparently the public did not as the Republicans took Council for the 1st time ever under Council/Mgr gov't which had been in place by then for 16 years.

People don't seem to go for dirty political tricks and will tend to reward those that suffer from them.

10:54,
and I suppose Tim White also arranged for the phoney flyers, calling for replacing Cheshire cops with state cops, which proported to be from the Republicans.

no, the dirty tricks award this year goes to the desperate Dems.

Sounds like the antics of a former Sup. of Schools and his principal wife.

Oh, come on! They are probably just teachers concerned that there is no money for teaching materials and they found that inside of Tim's sign are blank and can be used by the students for drawing and other fun projects. Tim's signs are top quality and preferred over his rivals signs.

So, there you have it, "TEACHERS WORKING FOR THE POOR CHILDREN".

"incredibly offended" said...

No doubt one member of the council feels "appalled, discusted, disrespected, and angry" whenever she sees a Tim White sign. Maybe the thieves were trying to spare her feelings.

"Stealing signs " That's about the only thing that the D's haven't taken credit for.

Dems don't steal. They redistribute. Those signs are now in the hands of someone less fortunate.

Why don't they ask ACORN for some signs?
