Common Sense by Thomas Paine (43/53)

As I've previously discussed here, anonymity on the web and on this blog is appropriate. After all, our Founding Fathers hid behind pseudonyms routinely. In this ongoing piece, I'm highlighting one of the more famous anonymous writings from a Founding Father - Common Sense by Thomas Paine.

Let the assemblies be annual, with a President only. The representation more equal. Their business wholly domestic, and subject to the authority of a Continental Congress.

Slightly OT. but if you want to deal with a "lack of common sense" Chris Murphy is doing an open house at the Simsbury Stop & Shop on Wednesday afternoon.

Might I suggest we get in Murphy' grill about how screwed up HIS health care bill is. Perhaps we need some people who work at the Aetna or the Hartford asking Murphy if he agrees with Speaker Pelosi that private insurers are villains carpet bombing the public

Be sure to ask Chris why he votes on bills he hasn't read, why he voted to give free health care to undocumented immigrants, and why he is going to take any our five freedoms of health care.
