Dodd promises to name the Political Class beneficiaries of the Federal Reserve printing press

FireDogLake's Jane Hamsher pressed Senator Dodd and finally got a response... he's going to name names!!!

I found the interview audio less-than-perfect though. So I can't tell if he's going to name the names of only the Political Class recipients of the $2 trillion... or if he's going to take it one step further and demand the names of the banks that got the additional $8 trillion. And if you heard Jane's comment about the $12.8 trillion... I recall the Treasury Department and FDIC also printed a few trillion dollars. So that is the balance.

I'll take what I can get at this point.

Also worth noting is his spirited defense of The Beast known as The Federal Reserve. It represents banks, not working class Americans. So for the life of me, I can't figure out a good reason to be so defensive of them.

He didn;t say he'd vote for the legislation, now did he?

Idle talk, soon to be forgotten

I know, I know. But I'll take what I can get for now.

And keep in mind that he's facing a potential primary and a lot of angry voters in 18 months.

It'd be really easy for Sam to just keep repeating the mantra "Dodd opposes transparency. Dodd opposes good government."

If he fails to deliver on a basic like the names of the Fed's bailout banks, even the MSM will be able to figure out that Dodd is on the wrong side of an issue.

Sure, the MSM doesn't get into monetary policy... but they understand transparency.

So Dodd has a problem here. And I suspect he'll deliver... even if it's with him being dragged, kicking and screaming.
