Ron Paul gaining traction
Ron Paul was on the ABC Stephanopolous show this morning. As has happened in the past, I can't seem to post the youtube video... so here is the interview link.
Aside from the national exposure he got... anyone who is interested in returning America to a foreign policy of non-interventionism and a domestic policy of balanced budgets should be glad to hear that Ron Paul, M.D. has passed Sen. John McCain in fundraising in the Q2 GOP race (or at least that's what I thought I heard on the radio on the way back from the lovely Jersey shore this afternoon). And while the good doctor was outraised by Mitt and Rudy... just give Ron Paul some time. I think he may surprise people.
Ron Paul for President!

He's being played by a former Clinton aid turned commentator as democrats sencs a growing erosion of support within the republican caucus. Even Paul referred to the political realities facing Rebublicans. What about the stark reality of America's failure in Iraq.
The country has every right to be extremeely discouraged by the continuing loss of American and Iraqi lives and the conflict must come to a conclusion but not at the same price the US paid for fleeing Vietnam.
The stark reality is this. The US will be based in substantial numbers in the middle east for years to come. It is in our national interest whether the likes of Ron Paul get it or not. Maybe it is time for the US military to set up stadium seats and let the factions in Iraq fight till they decide they have to quit to survive but leave we cannot nor should not.
