Biodiesel jobs

Cheshire's recently proposed biodiesel plant was discussed in the pages of both the WRA (by Lauresha Xhihani) and MRJ (by Tiffany Aron) this week. The Bowmans' proposal includes 24 new jobs within two years.

I'm guessing that most Nutmeggers would prefer to have our money spent on jobs here, rather than in the middle east or Venezuela. So this is great news.

What's the Bowman's connection with this? And which of the brothers?

George is doing this deal and if Bowman is involved, they all are. Wonder if they went through P&Z, Wetlands and all the other commissions. Wonder if they even have engineered plans or did they just start building this on their land without permits and approvals.

Tim,
You deserve a lot of credit for your far-sightedness in promoting alternative energy development for 3+ years.

This venture may well show some real economic benefits : more jobs, revenues, more stable prices and supplies, etc.

If we can locally produce more of our own energy needs, why shouldn't Connecticut become an "oil producing state" ? !

Why does it matter what connection the Bowman's has to this or further which specific one?

The WRA had a photo with the article. Included in the photo was George Bowman, if I recall correctly. I believe it indicated that he's the (part??) owner.

I think this is fantastic for Cheshire, for CT and for America... it will help us reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
