So what did we learn tonight?
1. The capital non-recurring acct isn't necessarily for town projects as one might think - it's now able to be given to the BOE for whatever they choose to use it for.
2. The dems think it's better to mask expenses with reserve funds rather than to reduce expenses like most of us taxpayers are trying to do.
3. The term "it's all about the kids" now reads "it's all about the teachers."
4. When the dem majority says they listened to the residents and the taxpayers, they really meant to say they listened to all the teachers that live out of town.
5. We're not really ranked "142 out of 169 towns" when it comes to per pupil spending. It's more like somewhere in the middle if our boe's debt service numbers were included in the equation like all those other towns include their debt service.
Oh, and one more thing -
You're now going to have to keep all that "junk in your trunk" because the bulky waste pickup was eliminated by the dem majority.
Elections are in November.
But our tax bills are due in July and January!
You're right. What do they do with all that money? Most of us do not get paid semi-annually. It must be nice.
