Uncle Al is running

It's official. State Rep. Al Adinolfi is running for reelection to the 103rd House district.I expect Al will win, regardless of his opponent... nobody works harder than him.

funny little story...

A year or two ago 'uncle al' showed up at the door to my house and introduced himself. I knew who he was. I think I even voted for him. I was ready for some pleasant conversation. Instead, he asked if my parents were home.

I've been known to get carded now and then, but I had turned thirty and have more than my share of gray hair.

I told him no, my parents were not in the house. He gave me a nod and a wave and left.

Is Al for the mall? Is he willing to have the state spend millions of our tax dollars to help W/S with infrastructure and all the money to modify the 691 entrance and exit ramps of 691, the widening of route 10 and the state grant money for a new fire station and money to increase the capacity of the sewer plant once we find out that you can't increase the capacity by 10% with the stroke of a pen. And, does he want to be part of creating an enviromental diaster by helping W/S build this huge mall, hotel, apartment complex on such a sensitive parcel of land.

I think Al and others should be thinking about how the state can make it a state park, preserving it for future generations and protecting an important resource, drinking water. Cheshire could certainly use a state park. In the process, the state would save millions and stop the further deterioration of 691 as a highway. Malls at interchanges turn highways into parking lots.

The only question we need to ask of Al is a yes or no, does he support the Mall?
