Hello
Yes, it was re-scheduled for January 6. Same times for lighting-4:00 PM.
Weathe plays an important factor in this event,so we hope that it will be a clear, crisp night.

Time to stop this forever memorial to the Petite family. Where is the support for the two brothers that lost their Mom and sister this past year? Is it because they did not meet a stero-typical white middle class Cheshire family they have been forgotten?

I always find it interesting that there are people who would rather try to make something that is real good for the community into a political agenda. Why doesn't the person who feels that we are doing this because the Petit's were your "stero-typical white middle class" family, get off his or her butt and do something for the other family?
Go out and make a difference on your own!
You also must remember that the Petit tragedy was a random act while the other was a domestic act. This made the entire town feel vulnerable because we all are asking why them and not us?
I wish all these complainers (or perhaps it is the same lazy person)would get together and instead of wasting their energy complaining about why people aren't doing something for their cause, would go out and do it themselves.
It is really sickening to think that someone would complain about this event. I hope that person went out and lit a candle for Hope that they would understand that this town is trying to heal.
