Go Anne!
Milone said town employees receive double pay for overtime. Why double pay? Why not time-and-a-half as typical in the private sector?
Listen again - it was New Years weekend and a Sunday.
Fair enough.
So did Milone produce the sample OT report he promised in that clip?
Anne needs to ask why in Public Works they are allowed to "schedule" overtime two weeks in advance.
also check into the practice of PW's employees spending all day at certain Town beauty spots(corner of Maple Ave and Rt 10..at both ends of Maple Ave)...mowing and clipping and pruning....a landscape company would be cheaper...and they would be in and out of there in 1/2 hour....I wonder how much cheaper it would be to contract out all the town mowing?
