The ballfields

The Council hired a ballfield consultant (Cheshire Herald, by Kristen Malinowski) for $9,000. As was mentioned in the article, my sense is that $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 won't pass at referendum. And I voted against it.

I think we need to hire a consultant to tell us what consultants we should hire for consulting purposes.

So let's review the new council majority when it comes to wasteful spending:
1 ballfield consultant $9,000
1 proposed pool consultant $20,000+

A big push for a turf field at a cost of ??? Likely to be 1 - 2 million....Hey maybe we should get a consultant for the turf..You think?? Let's give him/her $30k to tell us exactly how much the turf field will cost.

That would come to nearly 60K or more for consultants.

Can't wait for the next election!

Enough of the consultants. We have enough private talent in town that can come with a solution without spending any money. What happen to this town when folks in town were willing to donate their time for free? We should never have hired a consultant for the strategic planning. Ever since then, we need a consultant for everything. We could use the extra money and give the seniors more of a tax break. Let's get real!
