Pursuant to Chapter 2, section 7...

As I handed my absentee ballot to the Town Clerk's office this week, I also handed them this:Thank you for all the support over the past seven years on the Council and five years on the blog... TWL was born on January 17, 2006.

As I've said, a blog is a diary. So I'm sure I'll continue posting, but not so much about local politics. Plus, I start Chem 101 on Monday with Charter Oak U.

I'm logging off now for at least a few days... or perhaps a few weeks. If I have my internet connection fully sorted by Wednesday, I may post then. I sent a letter to the Herald and they said they'll try to run it.

But if I don't do much blogging, feel free to friend me on FB. It's easy enough to stay in touch there.

And if you're curious about who will represent the 4th district, join the club... I don't know either.

I am sad to read that you will not be blogging much on town politics. You were great and very informative. Hope there are good things to come for you.

Dear Tim,
The Franciscan Friars, the Poor Clares nuns, and many others are praying for you.

May Christ the Good Shepherd protect, guide, and strengthen you as you pursue God's work among the poorest of the poor in Haiti.

The Lord is with you always,
Brother Mychal Kelley

It was a pleasure working with you on the retirement board. Stay safe and well in your new job. I hope that you have much success in your new position in Haiti.

Thank you for your service to the people of Cheshire.

Thank you, Tim, for your service to Cheshire, and now for your service to a very dofferent constituency. I won't say goobye, but like you said, au revoir: "until we meet again."

I have been waiting a long time to see that letter. Forced out no doubt becuse of very poor performance and lack of vision

Anon. 7:16 PM has to get in one more political swipe when the focus has changed to humanitarian.

No, Tim was not "forced out". He's always been re-elected by wide margins. Tim chose to resign and take a pay cut to help some desperately suffering people. What has 7:16 done lately to improve anything?

The Dems were forced out. J. Adinolfi won a council seat beacause he ran at large and some people outside of his district didn't know him or his record of working for the developers and realtors. If he had run in his district he would have lost big time and another Dem would have been appointed. Ecke was forced out and the only reason he's on the council is the rule that the council must have 2 minority councillors. At least they can't help the special interests.

Can't wait to see them go down. I
