I-84 debacle
Highway construction in Connecticut continues to be a nightmare.
The Feds are investigating the I-84 construction between Cheshire & Waterbury because the storm drains don't work or are already (they're less than 1 yr old) causing problems.

anon... what is the "mixmaster" project? As for state contracting, I'm as sick and tired of all the corruption and mismanagement in our state as everyone else.
Tim, you gotta get out more often.....do you know where the big city of Waterbury is??? Do you only stay in Cheshire??? Waterbury is the city just north of Prospect, Northwest of Cheshire.....have you ever eaten a Blackies hotdog?? Ok, the mixmaster is the interchange of 84 and route 8.........
liveinabubble... hahaha!... yes. I have heard of Waterbury. I work there from time to time and have been doing so for years (I'm in audit... we go everywhere.)
As for Blackie's... yes. They're an institution. Whenever I'm between Wtby & Cheshire at lunchtime, I have two main choices... Blackie's or the Notch. Either does the trick.
As for the "mixmaster"... I just never heard it called that. But it does seem rather appropriate.

I live in West Cheshire and often drive 84 to Waterbury and west, and I've never heard of the 'mixmaster'. Guess that also makes me a stupid idiot who 'livesinabubble.'
