State Reps Elizabeth Esty and Vicki Nardello are still more concerned about criminals' rights than for public safety or justice.
They both oppose the death penalty (even though the two rapist-murderers were caught at the scene), and they oppose 3-Strikes (each had 25 felony convictions before they slaughtered the Petits).
In Esty's and Nardello's liberal/ACLU world, it's OK to continually unleash habitual felons onto the streets rather than keep them locked up. And it's OK to slaughter innocent babies (Emily's List), but not to execute guilty murderers.

Cheshire, we can do better.
give the guy some more pills so he can finish the job himself
Send Esty down to watch over him.
Esty would only tell him what a victim he is, how its society's fault, blah blah blah.
Restore the gallows as the method of justice, and send the hangman. Problem solved.
He is getting the best care possible so he can stand trial and be sentanced to death.
