She had an amazing voice

Amy Winehouse had an amazing voice.

She had an amazing voice and a death wish, one which actually celebrated her refusal to get help. If she had died in an heroic struggle against her addictions, she would be worthy of sympathy. But it's hard to feel sympathy for one who seemed determined to throw away her own life.

While I feel bad for anyone, such as Winehouse, my point was simply that she had an amazing voice.

On the other hand, I have a huge amount of sympathy for the tragic events in Norway... and the events that occurred in Cheshire four years ago today.

RE: Norway

The Oslo mass-murderer will be sent to one of that nation's so-called “resort prisons” where violent criminals “enjoy horseback riding, fishing, tennis, and cross-country skiing” along with fine cuisine and giant plasma TV’s in each cell, called guestrooms. (This is all true, google up "Norway prisons")

How liberal, how insane. And this is what the criminal lobby and their liberal sympathizers in Conn. would do if they had the votes.

Some Nazi war criminals were hanged for killing fewer people than died in Norway. Where’s the justice?

There was nothing amazing about this voice, IMO. In fact, I think it's really awful - barely entertaining by Karaoke standards in a noisy bar!

There IS something astounding at how much attention and sympathy are given to her tragic celebrity death as compared to millions suffering the hunger and pains of death and disease in the third world.

As for me, I think I give quite a bit more attention and sympathy to those less fortunate who live in the developing world... than I do to Amy Winehouse. Nonetheless, I have a memory -- that is important to me -- that relates to this song. That's the main reason that I posted it.

No sympathy can be expressed to an individual that has no self control. She was weak in mind and heart and refused herself to understand common sense control. She fell to a common malady of the latest generation. Too bad, a huge amount of talent but dead. That gets you nowhere and brings heartache to your parents.
