Meetings moved
Council meetings are getting juggled around a bit. As it stands now, tonight's meeting among the Council, P&R and the pool consultant has been delayed until Wed Oct 24 (pool consultant wasn't available). Additionally, the agenda for the special Council meeting of Tues Oct 23 will likely be delayed until the following day.
And again... congratulations to the Cheshire girls swim team. It really is impressive... and they're still going!

I don't know the entire history of the town pool and I hope this doesn't start a firestorm of idiotic, anti-pool comments, but I wonder just how much having such a great swimming facility has contributed to the success of the girl's swim team. I'm sure it didn't hurt. This kind of town pride is priceless and it's exactly what we need right now. WELL DONE!
Obviously knowing the number of consecutive "wins" dating back to 1980 something, it's safe to say the pool has not had a major impact on the success of the girl's swim team.
What you should be concerned with is the bad air quality inside the bubble and the long term effects it may have on respiratory problems. Spending so much time inside that air could very lead to problems later on. Check into how many cases of respiratory problems there have been with the staff and users.
