I have to run and don't have time for any commentary right now. But I still wanted to get Tuesday's agenda posted, so here it is:

RE: Boundless Playground. I'm glad it is going in. But the old playground is to be demolished. It seems serviceable, if dated. Why hasn't someone inquired if a nonprofit agency in the region could use it? We could donate the old equipment and let it be reassembled somewhere else.
I would like to give some other child --perhaps in a less advantaged community--the same enjoyment my son had on this equipment
Good thought...
If they sell it to someone else they would have to explain why it needed replacing. It will end up in the dump. Sorry to say.
I suppose recycling is important for bottles but not for something significant, eh?,...where all our green disciples on this one?
Apparently the playground is not good enough for Cheshire kids to use because the wood is rotting, splinters etc...but it's ok for poorer kids to use? How come if it's so bad it has to be completely replaced, it could even be condsidered useful somewhere else? Sort of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the muffin tops. Nobody wanted to eat the bottom of the muffins so it was ok to give them to the poor. From that episode to paraphase the worker in the poor home she said, "aren't poor people worthy of muffin tops too?"
