Stop stop stop... How can the council accept money from the police union while investigating their boss? The town attorney needs to weigh in before any further action takes place.
And I hope Justin A. apologizes to the council for his comments in the Herald. He does want to work cooperatively together with the whole council doesn't he??
Regardless of how the Dems act, the R's should be nothing but cordial and magnanimous. The voters have spoken, the election is over, and the serious business of governance begins. Statesmanship please.

How is a $500 charitable contribution from the CPU to the Fuel Bank a bribe? If council members or the union were benefiting, it would be a bribe. Unions make charitable contributions all the time.
Wow, pretty quick meeting considering the lengthy agenda. And no surprise that one councilman wasted no time in eating up much of the snacks there. I just wish he'd chew with his mouth shut.
Yes, the Town is paying. No, you can't have any. They are all mine to graze on. I prefer pork rinds so please, though I am in the minority, afford me this grace having won as the biggest loser on the Council.
Quiet down, or I'll eat you too! They call me Augustus Gloomp when outside the Council chambers. And yes my votes vary depending upon how hungry I am at the time. So watch it!

Being the first meeting after the election, it's going to be an interesting night.
I hope the Dems congratulate the R's, that would be a nice gesture.

Is the council going to accept a bribe from the police union?

Good point, who is paying for these snacks? If the town is, they should be accessable to everyone that attends the meeting.

Any other groups getting free meals on the town check? That is not what I am paying my taxes for. Where is my free meal?

Every time there's a professional development day for the teachers, or meetings with school officials there's always some food you end up paying for.
