Open forum 10/6

With the subprime home lending situation (WRA), someone told me today that companies are starting to revise down their 2008 sales estimates for durable goods... washer/dryers, refrigerators, etc..

The campaign season has definitely kicked off. I saw Tim Slocum, Tali Maidelis and Gerry Brittingham greeting customers at Stop n Shop this morning. I also saw Cindy Kleist waving to passers-by from the corner of Lanyon and Route 10.

AT&Ts new competition for Cox, U-Verse (WRA), is also swinging into gear. I saw an AT&T lineman on my street, Bradford Drive, this afternoon. He told me that they expect to have their TV and internet services up'n'running in my neighborhood within a couple months.

And the Senate investigation into Lou DeLuca continues (NHR, by Greg Hladky).

Must be a Hall or Esty clone.

The caveMAn is their clone, but not half as bright as either. That's why he spams rhetoric rather than discuss substantive issues.

  10. Who are these new people running on the Dem ticket? They have not said a word. What is their position on anything. When are they going to start talking?

  12. Lou,

Do you seriously expect anyone to vote for you with all of your bizarre comments?

It is hard to believe that the Republican Party in Cheshire chose you and turned down Cindy Kleist.

  13. Cindy Kleist is this the best the Republicans canput forth.

Talk is cheap the dems can stand on there record over the last 2 years.
    Responsible spending growth
Tax increases much lower than inflation
Senior tax relief & freeze for low income seniors
    Schools well funded
Leadership that does not belittle those they do not agree with
Built rain day fund when a quick one time tax reduction of less than $100 per house hold is what the republicans want. One day all of Cheshire will be happy we have a large rainy day fund
The question is what of importance would the republicans have done differently over the past 2 years.
I believe the Dems have done more in the past 2 years than both Dem and Republicans councils did in the last 20 years
